A Swiss Army Knife of Digital Marketing
I've spent 18 years in marketing technology — the first third as a technical writer, the second third as a designer, and the third third as a front-end developer and CRO practitioner. That path is why I write a hypothesis the way I used to write documentation: plainly, in order, with the "so what" up front; it's also why the UI piece is often handled without needing a designer.
For the last several years, that's meant owning CRO testing end to end — ideation, build, QA, launch, and the write-up after. I like the part of the job where a hunch about user behavior turns into a shipped variation and a number you can defend.
Outside of work, I live in San Antonio, Texas, with my dog Ana. I'm usually mid-renovation on some part of my house, or on the road in a teardrop camper I built myself — which turns out to be a decent hobby for someone who likes taking a rough idea and iterating it into something that actually works.
An MA in Technical Communication, put to use in test reports
A clear hypothesis, a clean write-up of tradeoffs, a recommendation someone outside the testing program can actually act on — that's the same skill whether it's a help doc or a monthly CRO report.
